Story
Victoria Villasana was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. After studying design at the Technological University of Mexico (ITESO), she moved to London. There, she worked as a florist and in the fashion industry.
In 2013, she began creating embroidered collages of images as a hobby, placing them on the streets of London. After spending over a decade in London, she became known within the street art community for her intercultural textile pieces. She uses embroidery as a language for female empowerment. Through textiles, patterns, and colors, she shares stories that express the resilience of the human spirit.
The dynamism of her work lies in the way the thread is left uncut, far below the frame, giving it an unfinished aesthetic that reflects our evolution, imperfection, and acceptance of change. For her, it's important to use creativity as an empowering tool to heal and build bridges.
